Government Intiatives - "Start Strong"

In 2025, the NSW Government’s “Start Strong” program provides funding for preschool education

Fee Relief:

The program offers fee relief to families with children in eligible preschool programs, including community preschools, mobile preschools, and long day care services.

Funding for 3 and 4 Year Olds:

4-year-olds: Families with children aged 4 years old on or before July 31st can receive up to $2,174 in fee relief.

3-year-olds: Families with children aged 3 years old on or before July 31st can receive up to $515 in fee relief.

Eligibility:

  • Children must be attending an eligible early childhood education program.

  • Children must not be in compulsory schooling.

  • Families do not need to be eligible for or receiving the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to be eligible for Start Strong funding.

  • Citizenship and residency status are not taken into consideration for eligibility.
